Drowning prevention technology is any system designed to detect a swimmer in distress and alert responders before the situation becomes fatal. The three main approaches are human lifeguard supervision, camera-based computer vision, and sonar/acoustic sensing, which tracks objects in the water using sound waves regardless of light or water clarity.
A lifeguard's attention is finite and drowning is often silent. In Hong Kong, 100% of recorded pool drowning fatalities occurred with a lifeguard on duty, and 62.5% happened in private pools such as clubhouses, hotels, and residential estates. No. SwimNet is designed to support lifeguards, not replace them. When the system detects danger, an alert is sent immediately to the lifeguard's tablet and smartwatch, allowing them to respond faster and with greater confidence.
SwimNet does not use cameras and does not record any images. It captures only the posture and position of swimmers — no personal identifiers whatsoever. Data is encrypted with military-grade encryption. Incident records may be retained for up to 120 days for reporting purposes. The system is fully compliant with Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

How SwimNet Sees the Pool

SwimNet replaces the camera with sound. A poolside array of ultrasonic transducers sweeps the entire water volume many times per second, building a live three-dimensional picture of where every swimmer is and how they are moving — from 0.3 m below the surface down to 3 m.

Because the system listens rather than looks, nothing that defeats a camera defeats SwimNet: darkness, surface glare, shadow, reflection and turbid water all leave the acoustic picture intact. The AI model runs on the edge processor at the poolside, so detection never depends on a cloud link.

No. SPB-300 connects to your existing IP cameras via ONVIF or RTSP protocol — compatible with most major brands. There is no need to replace or upgrade any camera hardware. The Edge AI Box simply plugs into your existing network.
SPB-300 monitors two zones simultaneously. At the water surface and poolside: swimmer distress signals, motionless floating, and flailing patterns. On the pool deck: slip and fall, fighting or aggressive behaviour, perimeter intrusion, and after-hours unauthorised access.
Both systems share the same three-tier alert ladder (Pre-Alarm, Warning, Danger) and feed into the unified AIqua Commander dashboard. Staff see all incidents — underwater and above water — in a single interface. SwimNet and SPB-300 can also be installed and operated independently.
Yes. SPB-300 is an optional supplementary solution and can be deployed in phases — there is no requirement to install it at the same time as SwimNet. It is not a replacement for SwimNet, but an above-water layer that extends coverage to the pool deck and surrounding areas.
Faces and licence plates are automatically blurred by the Edge AI Box before any footage is stored — unblurring requires a logged, role-based action. Only event metadata and pre-blurred clips are written to storage, and no live video leaves the facility's network.
SPB-300 connects to existing CCTV infrastructure and does not require separate building submission or EMSD approval. It is fully compliant with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) through on-device face blurring. As with all security systems, facilities should review their own data governance policies before deployment.

傳統閉路電視無法看見水下情況,在光線不足時表現欠佳,亦容易出現遮擋問題。救生員面對疲勞問題,而穿戴式裝置在公共泳池中難以普及。SwimNet的聲學傳感器在完全黑暗、渾濁水質及擁擠環境中同樣有效——因為聲音能夠穿越光線無法到達的地方。

我們的專利聲納陣列以超聲波訊號掃描整個泳池空間,輸入經過數千個真實溺水及求救場景訓練的深度學習模型。

對任何設有泳池的飯店、度假村、會所或屋苑而言,溺水預防與游泳安全都是必須處理的營運課題。以下問答說明聲納式 AI 溺水偵測的運作原理,以及全球物業及設施管理者在選擇系統前應評估的重點。

溺水預防技術是指能夠偵測游泳者陷入危險並在事態惡化前發出警報的系統。主要做法包括人力救生員監督、攝影機式電腦視覺分析,以及聲納/聲學感測——後者利用聲波追蹤水中物體,不受光線或水質影響。
救生員的注意力有限,而溺水過程通常安靜無聲。在香港,100% 已記錄的泳池溺斃案例發生時現場都有救生員當值,62.5% 發生在會所、飯店與屋苑等私人泳池。AI 聲納偵測等技術可在救生員之外再增加一層持續監測,而非取代救生員。
AI 聲納偵測利用聲波而非影像追蹤游泳者的位置與動作,因此在攝影機容易失效的夜間或混濁水質環境中仍可正常運作。AIqua 的 SwimNet 系統偵測準確率達 99.9%,警報在 5 秒內觸發,且不擷取影像畫面,避免了攝影機式監控常見的私隱疑慮。
飯店與屋苑應選擇能適應各種光線與水質條件、設計上不擷取影像以保護私隱、警報能在數秒內直接發送至救生員裝置,並採用裝置端 AI 運算以降低營運負擔的系統。

常見問題解答

完全安全。加拿大研究機構的獨立評估結論為:「在所有測試距離下,超聲波效應均符合機械效應及熱效應的安全建議。」傳感器安裝於池邊,不接觸泳客。
不能。SwimNet的設計是協助救生員,而非取代他們。系統偵測到危機時,警報會即時發送至救生員的平板電腦及智能手錶,讓他們更快、更準確地作出反應。
SwimNet不使用攝像鏡頭,不錄製任何影像,亦不捕捉任何個人識別資料——只記錄泳客的姿態及位置。數據採用軍事級加密,事故記錄最長保存120天。系統完全符合香港《個人資料(私隱)條例》。
99.9%——幾乎所有溺水風險事件均能被偵測,漏報率低於0.1%。
由安裝完成並驗收起計首12個月包括:現場AI配置及調校、全套硬件保養(12個月)、遠端技術支援(1個工作天內回應)、現場技術支援(2個工作天內回應),以及每月例行現場巡查。
食環署已確認,目前沒有針對此類溺水防救系統的特定法規或守則。SwimNet符合《游泳池規例》及機電工程署守則第26M號。新建泳池的安裝申請將納入標準建築呈交文件一併審查。

SwimNet 如何感知整個泳池

SwimNet 以聲音取代影像。池畔的超聲波換能器陣列每秒多次掃描整個水體,即時建構三維圖像,掌握每位泳客的位置與動作模式——覆蓋水面以下 0.3 米至 3 米。

由於系統靠「聽」而非「看」,凡是令攝影機失效的條件都不影響 SwimNet:黑暗、水面反光、陰影、倒影與混濁水質都不會破壞聲學圖像。AI 模型在池畔的邊緣處理器上運行,偵測完全不依賴雲端連線。

SwimNet 常見問題

SwimNet可在偵測到異常行為後5秒內發出警報。安裝後,工程團隊會進行現場調校,針對每個泳池的具體環境平衡準確性與靈敏度。
適用。SwimNet可在不同深度的泳池中運作,包括深度只有600至800mm的淺水池。

SPB-300 常見問題

不需要。SPB-300 透過 ONVIF 或 RTSP 協議連接現有 IP 攝像機,兼容大多數主流品牌,無需更換或升級任何攝像機硬件。邊緣 AI 盒直接接入現有網絡即可使用。
SPB-300 同時監控兩個區域。水面及池邊:泳客求救信號、靜止漂浮、掙扎動作。池畔:滑倒跌傷、打鬥或激烈行為、周界入侵、非授權時段進入。
兩個系統共用相同的三級警報架構(預警、警示、危險),並統一顯示在 AIqua Commander 管理介面。員工可在同一個介面上查看水下及水面以上的所有事故。SwimNet 與 SPB-300 亦可獨立安裝及運作。
可以。SPB-300是選配的附加方案,可分階段部署,無需與SwimNet同時安裝。它不是SwimNet的替代品,而是在水面以上延伸覆蓋泳池池邊及周邊區域的補充層。
邊緣AI盒在儲存任何影像前,會自動對人臉及車牌進行模糊處理——取消模糊需透過有記錄的角色權限操作。系統只儲存已模糊的短片及事件記錄,所有影像均不離開場地網絡。
SPB-300 連接現有閉路電視基礎設施,無需額外建築審批或機電工程署批准。系統透過裝置端面部模糊處理,完全符合《個人資料(私隱)條例》(PDPO)要求。與所有保安系統一樣,場地在部署前應審視自身的數據管治政策。

We are looking for a motivated AIoT Engineering Intern to support our engineering team in building and enhancing AI-driven IoT systems. This role focuses on hardware development and field deployment — ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about hands-on hardware innovation.

Hardware Development
  • Design IoT devices using ESP32, Nvidia Jetson & Raspberry Pi
  • PCB design, fabrication & 3D-printed enclosures
  • IoT protocols: LoRa/LoRaWAN, Cat-1, MQTT
  • Sensor integration & hardware testing
Field Deployment
  • On-site installation at pools across Hong Kong
  • Edge computing infrastructure setup & config
  • Networking for IoT deployments
